PTE Core

The PTE Core is a computer-based language test that specifically evaluates general English language proficiency for immigration to Canada. The test measures skills in speaking, writing, reading, and listening and has a duration of two hours.

What is PTE Core for?

Starting from January 30, 2024, the PTE Core test will be accepted for all Canadian immigration programs, except for the SDS (Student Direct Stream) program. This includes Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants, Express Entry applicants, and individuals needing a language test for any other Canadian immigration purpose, excluding SDS.
